It is a matter of great pleasure and satisfaction to place on record my sincere gratitude and appreciation for Dr H S Pannu ,his team and the supporting staff of the Holy Heart Hospital, Amritsar for their proficient and dedicated excellent care during my open heart bye pass surgical operation and the post operation recovery period at the hospital.
After landing in Delhi on 23rd February, during a routine medical check- up at Metro hospital Noida on 25th February, to everyones surprise I was told to have almost complete blockage of all the main arteries and an urgent bye pass surgery was suggested. In this connection, we consulted cardiologists from Mumbai, Medanta Medicity, Gurgaon and Dr Pannu of Holy Heart Hospital, Amritsar( The last one known to and recommended by my brother-in-law Dr Anil Mahajan). It was really very difficult to make a choice between the well established cardiologists of the the renowned hospitals of NCR and Dr Pannu of HHH, Amritsar. On the one hand there were apprehensions associated with moving from NCR to Amritsar, since people normally prefer renowned hospitals of NCR for such operations, and on the other hand there was the bad and sad personal experience associated with one of the most renowned hospitals of NCR.Anyways, after having ascertained the professional competence of Dr Pannu from a number of reliable independent sources a decision was taken in favor of the HHH, Amritsar, where I was sure to get the personal care and attention as well as the post-operative logistic support.
Accordingly, we took the first flight to Amritsar on 26th, got admitted in HHH by 10.30am and Dr Pannu performed the surgery on 27th with my both sons ,Drs Anil and Anita Mahajan being around.Late in the evening of 27th on gaining the consciousness I was told that the operation have been successful without any problem. Dr Pannu had just one more day with me post operation as he was to proceed to France for a professional conference on 1st of March. However, in the pre- operation discussion he had assured me about the competence of his team and in case required he will certainly postpone his departure. As per his assurance his team members Dr Gandhi, Dr Anil Mahajan etc and the supporting nursing staff took so good care of me that I recovered much faster than anyone's expectation. Dr Pannu kept himself informed about my welfare and exact situation while he was in France. Dr Pannu returned to hospital on 6th March and seeing the progress in recovery I was discharged the same day.He was pleased to see me walking in to his chamber like a normal person on 13th march when I came for a routine check up and he commented" can any one say that he had the bye pass surgery a week back". Let me put it very honestly that it had been possible due primarily to the performance of Bye pass surgery by a highly committed, competent and proficient cardiologist Dr Pannu and his team and the dedicative care of the supporting/nursing staff. For all this I shall remain always highly indebted to Dr Pannu and his team of the Holy Heart Hospital.I am also highly appreciative of the humanistic aspects of Dr Pannu as he makes himself available for consultation and discussion whenever I call him from Budapest. In the end I must acknowledge my gratitude to Dr Anil Mahajan and Mrs Dr Anita Mahajan for their moral and logistic support whose words of assurance acted as catalyst for taking a call in favor of Dr Pannu's Holy Heart Hospital. Hence, based on Dr Pannu's proven proficient competence, I strongly recommend Holy Heart Hospital Amritsar for all heart related ailments.
